Before the Dawn

Can you see in the dark?

Even just a small spark?

Do you look? Do you listen?

For through the dark glistens

a hint of the Light

that will conquer the Night

and will make all things right.

For the lost and the blind,

at Dawn’s dawning will find

that in every night time

our dreams of The Sublime

were realities waiting to shine.

Wake up early and hear;

and before the Dawn peer

into what seems from us hidden,

but to which we are bidden

to be still and to know–

God is here.

  1. The beauty that lies awaiting before dawn, before we see the light, make the amends, see the lesson etc Your words here evoke that magic, as it stirs beneath the surface of our being. Then, at last, our soul’s guidance learns the truth of how with God, anything is possible. Wrapping myself in His embrace right now, I’m reminded how hope is alive 💖

    1. Amen. Yes, “Hope is the thing with feathers, that perches in the soul, and sings the tune without the words, and never stops at all” (one of my Dickinson favs!)
